What is the 3-Way European Handicap Bet and how does it work?
What is the 3-Way European Handicap Bet and how does it work?
Updated over a month ago

In European handicap betting, also known as three-way handicap, customers have the option to wager on three possible outcomes: a home team victory, a draw, or an away team win. The selected line is then added to the final score to determine the outcome.

When you place a bet, the match begins with the result you chose from the odds provider's options. The final score of the match determines the outcome of your bet.

For example: Let's consider an English Premier League (EPL) match between Leicester City and Crystal Palace, where a 0:1 handicap line is applied.

If you've placed a bet on Leicester to win with a 0:1 handicap line at x2.29 odds:

They must win the match by a margin of at least two goals.

If you select Draw as an outcome with a 0:1 handicap line at x3.55 odds:

Leicester must win the match by exactly one goal difference for your bet to be considered a win.

If you select Crystal Palace with a 0:1 handicap line at x2.75 odds:

They simply need to avoid losing the match. A win or tie for Crystal Palace will result in your bet being settled as a win.
